my princess is turning FOUR

She looked at me - I looked at her. That's all it took. That's all that it took for me to be hooked. Hook - line - and sinker. From the day that my little girl was born, she has always been special. She has the both of us wrapped around her sweet little finger. I know every child is special to every parent - but this little girl is a fire cracker. Her personality is radiant. Now, I know I am biased, but she is beautiful, smart, and absolutely hilarious at times. She is 100% convinced she will grow up to be a rockstar and does her best to live out that life now.

My kiddos are my world - and I am one proud Momma!

Now my little girl is turning four. She is growing up so quickly. For some reason four is a hard pill to swallow. She is no longer a baby, no longer even a toddler.

So as I plan her birthday party with her, it is so bittersweet. I am so happy to see her thriving and making choices on her own, getting excited for her party -- but a part of me just wants to tie her down and attempt to keep her little forever...

Amanda Joann Pugh


Definition : An extremely beautiful, energetic and kind young woman that is dearly missed by hundreds of people. A girl who had such a contagious smile, who didn't know a stranger, who's goal in life was to really help people. A girl who loved her family, and had a family who loved her just as much.


I am proud to call Amanda my cousin. She would make anyone proud. The amount of people's lives she touched is unreal.


Today would have been Amanda's 23rd birthday here on earth, but instead she is spending it in heaven. A place where she is surrounded by yet more people who love her dearly. As painful as it is to swallow, I know that she is right where God has called her to be -- she is right where she belongs. We may not understand his reasoning, but we don't have to.


So - here's to you Manda -- Happy Birthday!! I love you!!

the start of a new adventure

There are a lot of times I find that writing helps relieve my stress. So, in reality, I am doing this for selfish reasons. This blog is not for anyone other than myself really, but if a few family members or friends find amusement in it, then it makes it all the merrier. I am not sure how long it will last, or how much I have to say for that matter - but we will give it a shot.
